Battery Optimizing Mode?

Hello guy's.. Just got my first tablet a ZEKI 10.1 running 4.1.1, yeah I know not the best but I wanted to start with something cheap to see how I like the whole tablet thing.. But to my question.. It says it has a dual core 1.5ghz cpu but says it is running at 1ghz battery optimizing mode, is there anyway to unlock it to the full 1.5ghz? Thanks in advanced for any help given..

May need root, but it sounds like the Chinese gave a fancy name to a normal Android function as if they didn't understand it. Android is supposed to, by default, change CPU speed depending on load from apps, etc. My guess is if you launched a game like Angry Birds it would jump to the full 1.7 GHz speed

Thanks, that may be the case.. I looked in the manual and it is a cheap 8 page manual that just tells how to connect to wifi and install apps... btw I am in Madisonville not far from ya..

Download a free version of angry birds and just start flinging stuff as fast as you can!!! That should get the processor humming a LilBit!!:D

You could also download antutu, and run some benchmarks on it.

gpu 3260
ram 1786
i/o 772
1512Mhz (x2)

that is what i got on antutu

yeah looks like the benchmark app got it to 1.5GHz already ;)

Thanks for the help.. So far I am loving this tablet even tho is it a cheap one so i will soon be getting a better one.. What would you recommend as the best one to get? I have read reviews online but I know some of them can be bs to sway people to their advertisers.. What would you get if money was no option? I do notice some games lag like racing games such as NFS and FPS games.. I am sure I will be giving this to my 12 year daughter soon, she is on it now so me getting it back will most likely not be an option lol. I am staring to learn more and more about these tablets and now I am wanting the best.

if one has the money i'd highly recommend a Nexus 10 or if on a budget the cheaper Nexus 7 tablet. these are by far the most pure of Android tablets, get all the updates, and are high-spec. if one wants a proper introduction to Android the Nexus line is the way to go. it is hard to appreciate Android if you're using a cheap Chinese tablet running a half-rooted haphazard fork of what is likely Android 4.0, or an old low-end phone using Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

i own tons of different tablets/phones running various versions of Android. Android 2.x sucked in my view, didn't handle memory as well, and crashed a lot (Android 2.1 Eclair is the worst that i have used). it seems to have become far more stable as of 4.0 and 4.1 especially. i have cheap Chinese devices to mess around with rooting as they are cheap and i don't have to worry about bricking them if i fail or mess something up, and most come out of the box pre-rooted anyway. i normally keep a lower end Smartphone because where i work i tend to break a lot of gadgets and phones are a lot cheaper to replace if lower end.
