Root Battery or ROM issue?

Hey guys I'm a new member here although I've been using this forum for a year or two to root and customize my android phones. I recently upgraded to the LG esteem after trading an old laptop for it to someone on craigslist. I have rooted and installed the #2 rom as well as a few tweaks to help save battery (turning off 4g, disabled almost every autorun in gemini, etc).
The problem is that my battery dies extremely fast, 3-4 hours maybe 5 if I don't use it, I go to work with it fully charged and its at 15% when I get out. Ridiculous imo. I've read a few threads with a similar issue and people suggest reinstalling rom's etc, didn't work for him and hasn't worked for me either. Do you think it's my battery going bad? The esteem came out late 2011 so I assume this phone is anywhere from 3-10 months old but looks new. I'll post a screen shot of battery use and let me know what you guys think, will I get better battery life with a new battery from amazon (10$) or should I get an extended battery for about the same price?

Mitch

PS: To all the android devs out there, THANK YOU! I wouldn't like my phone nearly as much without you guys.

I just read a little more in the #2 thread and it looks like im not the only one with this issue. Seems like its a kernel issue, can anyone confirm?

Alright, Thanks! I'll have to reinstall my rom once the new update is out? Is there any way to keep my current settings (icon placement on my homescreen, drawer colors, etc?).

Yes if you just installing the rom no need to do a full wipe just wipe cache and dalvik cache let me know if you need anything else glad to help

OK , wiping 'cache' and 'dalvik cache' should not delete any of my settings? or contacts? remind me again where i go to find this, is it in rom manager, or an option when i install the rom in CWM? this is probably my last question, thanks for the help mike!

It's all in the cwm and it won't delete anything in the phone only if you delete data other than that you are good
