Help Battery Overcharge possible??

when i recently bought my lg gt540 the salesman at the carphone wharehouse told me not to charge it overnight or for longer than 4 hours or it will overcharge.

have any of you had any problems with overcharging?

They are full of Stool , your phone is also an active smart li-po battery charger, so it wont overcharge it

I must admit I have only had my phone a few months so perhaps it is too early for me to say but my phone is nearly always being charged, be it in the car or at home as I just love using it. I haven't seen any issues myself and have not heard from others of the issue.
