battery percentage app

anyway to change the little green battery bar into a xx% type readout? not looking for a widget for the main screen, want the status bar up top changed.

Battery Indicator Pro displays Battery Percentage (by Intervals of 10) in the status bar (Top left). However, your green battery will still be there

An alternative is to use the voice dialer and say "open battery info". You can get a lot of information on the battery that way, including temperature and percentage of charge remaining.

bummer. i saw it on my friends itouch a while ago so i hoped it'd be on android by now

"Battery Status - Free" in the market allows both a widget and a tray icon. When you pull down the notification tray it will list the voltage and health of the battery as well.
