Help Battery Problem? Dialer 52%????!!!!

aleclfcr

Lurker
I have had my Galaxy S2 for a while now.

However I can not really use the phone lately as the battery does not last more than about 2 hours and I now have to use my sim card in a spare phone.

When I check the battery usage on the settings I have found that "Dialer" is taking up a massive 52% of my total usage, this is bizzare and must surely be the reason why my battery is not lasting long, it is even more bizzare because I do not use the dialer as the phone at the moment does not even have a sim card in it, but it was using about the same percentage even when the sim card was in the phone.

Can anyone help?

Have you checked for wakelogs? The time when the screen is asleep but the phone shows doesn't?

BetterBatteryStats is an app that can show the wakelogs in more details, specifically the processes. As for dialer eating up the battery, it is a little weird, but you can try clearing the data from the dialer. And also just reboot the phone. See if the problems come back.

Cheers
