Help battery problem

I just got a replacement droid 3 thanks to the warranty. It works fine sept that sometimes it says the battery isn't a Motorola battery and turns off on me. I can turn it back on, but this doesn't fix the problem. When this happens, the battery icon is black with a question mark on the inside. Does anyone have a quick fix for this or will I have to get it checked out? Btw, I posted this using my droid

Sounds like a corrupted OS to me or hardware issues?
Try flashing stock image or using a custom rom if you can do any of that?
