battery problem

Out of the blue the other day my battery icon has started flashing constantly and battery drain has doubled , any ideas??

PS Im on Alliance ROM V4 running SuperCoreICS 1.1 Kernal

Have you tried reflashing the ROM again for maybe installing a new ROM?

Try turning the device off pulling the battery then putting it back in and restarting...Otherwise a factory reset could always be seen as a quick fixer to some issues.

Lastly, if none of these you might just have a bad battery

ok so tryed a few things , re-installed the ROM also wiped everything beforehand , and also tryed the wifes battery from her S2 and the icon is still flashing ???

yep charges ok (with no blinking)

Ok, the problem is with USB connector of your phone. The phone always thinks that charger is plugged into the phone but it can't find the voltage to charge the battery.

Your problem might get solved by cleaning the USB port.
