Root Battery problems !!

Im having battery problems for the first time. My phone is only a year old I have installed quite a few apps and games on it. I'm running lee driod 3.3. I always turn wireless mobile data off, accounts and sync background data off. I'm not using a task killer. Watchdog indicated that Facebook may be chewing my CPU, but I can't really get rid of that it comes with the phone. I can pretty much watch my battery go down by the minute. Sometimes I will go to sleep with %60 and wake up and the phone is completly dead. So it is pretty bad. My girlfriends phone that isn't rooted actually performs better which is quite embarrising. Help anyone please !!!

I had the same problem with my Samsung Captivate, and I never found a solution... but that was just one of many problems with that phone so I had to get a new one.

I would say flash the stock ROM (be careful as always), and see what happens. Make sure you are charged to 100% and the phone is plugged in during the flash. You could also try calibrating the battery on the phone (just google it).

With the watchdog app, I found that when I exited the Facebook app, it caused mega high CPU utilisation and I've seen a few others report it too. OS Monitor is better at reporting what's eating CPU at any one time.

Are you noticing slow down or lag at all? Also, what have you installed prior to this happening?

As thistransiton as pointed out, calibration is a good idea. Gimme a min and I'll get you some instructions.

Yeah its strange beacuse I've never had a battery problem before. I cant remeber exactly which apps I installed prior. There were are few I installed dolphin browser hd been one of them and Goog plus. I have tried calibration before, I guess I can do it again. And yes phone is very lagish.... What do you mean flash the stock Rom ? What if I flash the backup version I saved in clockw0rk mod when everything was working fine ? Will I loose my txt messages or photos ?

One of the recent Dolphin Browser updates didn't play nicely for me, I lost a fair bit of battery, pretty quickly but a reboot sorted. I'd a PM from someone who's battery took a hit after the update too. It could be coincidental, but it wouldn't be impossible.

Install the OS Monitor app, run it, then see what's eating in to the CPU.

If you say it's going from 60% to flat whilst your asleep, I'd say it's more likely to be an app that's causing the issue rather than the battery needing calibrated.

If you flash the backup you made before you started having the issues, then your phone would just return to the state it was when backed up, so all apps, SMS etc would be the as they were when you backed up. Stuff like Photos and videos are stored on the SD Card, so they wouldn't be affected.

Just a thought too, are you using the recommended radio?

Well I un installed dolphin browser and a few other things like Google plus and picsa. It's a bit better buy I'm still dropping battery even when I'm not using anything, and phone is still experiencing lag. I'm running OS monitor. But no apps seem to be misbehaving. HTC sense pops up a lot. And Facebook abit too but not much I can do about those !!
