Help battery/restar issue

so i've noticed that my battery percent stays the same for a while. i've realized that i can use this to predict that my phone will restart. for example, my phone right now has said it's been at 57% for a while. this means that it's gonna restart and then the battery will resume as normal. not sure if this has to do with the cheap battery i got off ebay or not.

When your battery is stuck for a while, are you still able to use data? Or has your data connection been lost, perhaps also meaning that you're not draining the battery as much?
