Battery saver

So I am looking for a good battery saver app, but don't know which is the best or to even use them. I used to use easy battery saver but I deleted it because I thought it would keep texts or calls from reaching me. Can the app do that and which is the best? Thanks

I used to use juice defender and it worked really well but it was $5.. I've found just using the power control widget is great, turn off 3g until you need it, keep brightness on auto unless you need it brighter. Ect. Hope my opinion helps

Yeah I've tried both of them and many more and my opinion is that they either don't work or don't do enough to even notice. My best guaranteed battery saver is to get a 3800mah battery off ebay. Stock battery will never last very long. Mine never made it 10 hours. My monster batteries last more than twice as long while using them soo much harder. I can literally stream YouTube videos all day long while having wireless tether on just to try and kill the battery. Definitely worth the few dollars
