Battery saving tips

I'll check that and will get you an image. I understand, you have a suspicion that I am cheating. I have no such ambition. Just trying to help you all guys.
Greetings

I don't think you are cheating either outoftune.. It just looks like you've left your phone idle for a long time, therefore extending the battery life for as long as it shows...

I posted this a few days ago. Uninstalling the Play Google Store app significantly improved the battery longevity.

What good would it do not being able to download and install apps you might want in your phone? (unless you are the type that only wants the phone to make phone calls...

You only need Google store to download the apps you need. Then you don't need it any longer. If you ever need it again you can reinstall it. Keep your phone clean...........

I don't think that it's a particularly wise move to uninstall google play as you will lose the ability to be informed of any updates to your installed apps.

In all my time on my galaxy s2 i don't recall any battery hit or even wakelocks caused by this app.

I also believe you should not be removing google play since for me it sort of defeats one of the purpose of getting an Android Phone.

As for wakelogs, that's no indication that the app does not cause a hit in the battery. Its very much possible it is reported as part of the Android Service instead of the app itself. So our friends suggestion to remove google play to get better battery life could very well be valid.... Although like I said earlier, overkill.

Fiar point, but it has never had any significant impact for me.
I never turn anything off (wifi, data, gps etc) and my overnight drain has on average been 0.25% to 0.5% per hour. I'm more than happy with this. I dont envisage removing google play would make this much better.

Most likely background battery draining app culprits are social hubs, latitude, twitter, facebook, widgets, weather etc.

And remember, if you do have such applications constantly in use overnight (refreshing etc), do not turn off your wifi, as wifi uses significantly less battery than data.

Another area to look at would be your modem.
