Hello All,
I know battery issues are common and there are a lot of threads out there already, but I didn't see anything relating directly to how high my display is.
I've been tracking my stats for the past 3 days and I notice that my Display is always the biggest battery drain. I have the phone set up with a black background, the brightness is set to 20% when the phone is unplugged, and I always click the side button after using it to turn off the screen right away. So, why is Display so high? Do I just have a faulty battery? (I've had this phone for only 7 months)
Here are my stats for today:
Phone has been on for 20 hours, and battery is down to 14%.
Display: 72% (screen display on: 56 minutes)
Wi-Fi: 10%
Cell Stand-By: 10%
Phone Idle: 8%
I had it on airplane mode overnight to minimize battery use for synching/data etc. and I haven't really used it for more than reading email, texting, and listening to Rdio (files saved on phone). Lookout and Tasker were in my notification bar the entire time (and running in the background on and off I assume).
My captivate is unrooted, with Firmware 2.2, and Kernel 2.6.32.9..
Can anyone explain why it says my display use is the main drain for my battery?
Is it actually my other programs, like Rdio, that are killing it, but for some reason the Android OS is putting it under display?
I appreciate everyone's help!
