Not thrilled with this. Could have had weather sync off. I use google voice (including visual voicemail) as well as want quick push email, so left mobile data always on.

I did use wifi for about 15 minutes, and had gps on for about 3-4 minutes. Brightness is set to auto. I read email (approx 60), sms (15 or so) and replied to a few. I also played video of guy at baseball game getting tazed a few times.

Profile set for LED and vibrate on all alerts.

My phone has terrible sound quality on my end of phone calls (muffled). I'm likely to return the phone for replacement, but don't relish figuring out what I can do to backup/restore profiles, installed apps, purchased apps, etc. on replacement. Maybe, I'll get lucky and get a better battery on the new one.

Added Thanks. You projected time matches up very close to post #59. App usage from there was:
Android System: 35%
Cell Standby: 25%

Display: 12%
wifi: 12%
voice calls 2%
Dialer 2%

Interesting that Android System is top app. Don't know if that means anything though. Someone smart want to chime in...

My old storm would last 1-2 days with the same amount of usage I use on my Inc and I'm lucky if I get 6 hours of use on my Inc. I've had I think 6 total battery cycles now out of my DInc

Hmmm maybe you've got a problem

Defective battery or power hungry application if you are only getting 6hrs of use, that is nuts.

Even on heavy use I'll get a full day but lately my use has been very minimal ie today I've had my phone off the charger for almost 11hrs and I'm at 70% battery. Been connected to wifi all day , made a few calls, a couple dozen texts and some internet usage.

Do me a favor krispy, turn the phone off for a few minutes, then back on. let it run IDLE for 5-10 Minutes
After 10 minutes, pull the info again and post here please.

it almost sounds like an app is staying on. thats a shit load of awake time. or your doing a ton of stuff on your phone.. 4 hours of playing games or something perhaps?

Record that data for me and then I'll have a better guess.

You definetly have an app hogging battery, and 3% for wallpapper is a lot, is that a Live Wallpaper??
I'm using a starfield life wallpaper and it doesn't even show up, so maybe that is part of the problem

That is only 13.54% Utilization. I think part of the reason the app percentages are what they are is because of how little it was used for that quick of a test. If you don't do anything with the phone, then yes Cell Standby and Android System will "look" like they are doing a lot.

I would say a more valid test would be running for an hour or so with regular use.

The only reason I went with 10-15 minutes was to do a comparison of up time versus awake time.

I.E. lets say you just start up your phone, and let it run for 10-15 minutes, and the phone is asleep immediatly after you power it on except for the time needed for it to fall back to sleep. If your awake time is only 1-2 minutes and your on time is 10-15, that shows that there are no programs working in the background. ( the phone is working as intended, when you hit the sleep button, everything shuts down with the exception of syncs)

But what alot of people are seeing are they turn their phone on for 10-15 minutes, it sleeps within 1-2 minutes, and is left idle for the duration. but when checking their figures their awake time is equal to the up time. thus showing an app is stuck.

@Krispy, what kind of area do you live in? how many bars of service are you averaging? do you have any non stock apps downloaded that would be starting services as the phone boots?

During the 35 min I checked email a few times, read maybe 12 messages, 1 text read and 1 sent. Poked around system settings for 3 minutes. Put phone in pocket and did dishes. That's it.

Cell reception varies 85-100 at home (where I was at for this period). Work reception (where I was at for initial 10hr run is better (rarely reaching 90.)

Just switched to smoke active wallpaper. Although, Bokeh was high for this short run, but is usually 2-3% for me over full charge cycle.

Thanks for the data. At a quick look, you look to be having worst battery life then others with comparable utilization numbers.

Now just have to figure out why.

Alright well it sounds to me like there is an app that is staying open and active upon using it... IE once you placed the phone to sleep and in your pocket, it didn't go into sleep mode as intended.

If you only checked a few emails etc. that should have taken what? 5 -10 minutes at most. Doesn't account for the extra 35 minutes of usage. Unfortunatly I am not 100% sure about how to go about discovering the application that's the culprit unless you're willing to go app by app. I will think on this some more and get back to you shortly. There has to be an easier way I'm just not seeing it at the moment.

No problem. Despite the call quality issues and battery life I'm getting, I see tons of potential in the phone and will be going to Best Buy to see if I can get a replacement. If I do, I'll break the phone in the first few battery cycles completely stock and add apps after getting some baseline data.

Time to search the threads and see about backing up everything and what to do about paid apps.

Your paid apps are linked to your Google account so you can re download them for free on your new phones. Astro does an amazing job of backing up everything also I used it for my switch from Eris. Great Program

Check out this battery usage.

but i have to say, my battery just seems to drop even if i dont do anything with the phone, i guess im just used to my iPhone 3GS that seemed to last forever, id surf the net all day / text and still have 30% or more from being used (8am-midnight/1am)

usage pattern: less voice calls today. Only about 30 minutes or so throughout the day. Which one would you rather have. I have two of each of these batteries coming in over the next couple days . Got the seiduos from amazon in today and the oem tp2s from ebay for cheap. Any ideas on which work better from your experience.

I just did not want to open the seidios if i did not have to since they were more expensive but would like to keep the better performing ones, which ever ones that may be, was looking for input on both from anyone who may have used both

Thanks. Pretty impressive. Glad you reminded me if was a 1750 battery.

Hello! We have had good reports from users who saw a very noticeable improvements over their stock batteries. Of course, the amount of total gains varies depends on users, but I think you will be very happy with the upgrade!
