Root battery stats after restore

Do I need to re-calibrate my battery stats after a restore? Say I had 80% battery when I backed up (and already had calibrated), and after restoring I have 60%. Will this mess with the battery stats? And does a full wipe even wipe the battery stats, and does a restore restore it?
 
Any nandroid restore or ROM flash even the same ROM with the latest updated over the old one needs the stats doing again.
