I have the Telus Fascinate version of this phone.
I went through and tried to install a custom rom, didn't like it so I flashed it back to stock using Odin. Kies wouldn't show the firmware of the phone so I did *#1234# and there was no CSC information. So I flashed the CSC portion of the stock rom in Odin and that issue is now resolved. Kies now displays the firmware version on my phone.
Now the battery icon shows that it is 100% full all the time. When I plug it to be charged, it shows the charging icon on the battery but doesn't act like it is charging. If I power down the phone and turn it back on, the battery status icon keeps trying to load instead of the phone actually turning on. I have to plug the usb charger in, wait till the battery status to show green, the hit the vol + and the power button in order for the phone to turn on.
Is there any way to resolve this other than flash the phone again?
