Root battery temp on BB 0.6.2.1

I like this ROM, get great battery life, but my battery temps seem to be high.

At idle, it sits around 70-77F, but during/after use it gets as high as 99F

Is this normal? I want to see what other people get, to see if I should switch roms. Im underclocked at 700mHz

I don't think that is all that high for moderate to heavy use though lower is better. You might want to try changing the kernels around to see if you phone likes something better. BB's stock kernel is a slayher which some people say runs hotter. I am on GPA12 and with the 1ghz slayher I was running first it would run up to 110 with heavy use. With Pete's new kernels I am running a lot cooler.

The point being your phone may run cooler on a different kernel like Chevy's or P3's.

ah ok, thanks. ill definitely look into that. I might try Chevys. Any suggestions?

I have used slayers mainly and just recently switched to Pete's but Chevy's kernels are highly regarded as are P3's kernels. Chevy makes both low voltage and ultra low voltage. Your phone will let you know what it likes best
