Battery Temperature? What is too hot?

Hi,

I have a question about Battery Temperature? What is too hot? What is normal?

Today on my LG optimus Slider, I was playing "Coin Pirates" for about 55 minutes continues. My phone was also plugged into the wall charger.

My battery got very hot.

So after a while of playing I removed the back part of the snap on plastic case I have, knowing this wasn't helping.

I have "Battery indicator" installed which shows the battery temperature and it showed 127 (F) degrees or 53 (C) degrees.

I have heard its normal for these batteries to get hot, while surfing, etc.

The phone is not turning off.

I cannot find the specs for the battery such as normal temp.

Should I be concerned?

Thank You.

First of all I don't know what is too hot or normal battery temperature.

I was charging my OV slider in the car, using the GPS and running Google Navigation for about an hour when I received a pop-up warning on the screen stating something like the battery was too hot, unplug the charger. I unplugged the charger and cleared the warning message. The too hot message reappeared a couple more times then ceased as the battery/phone cooled below the warning threshold. My phone was sitting in a cup holder and was not getting much air circulation. I've used this same configuration many times on my motorcycle with no issues, but have lots of air circulation.
