Battery trouble

My battery on my HTC Legend only lasts about 3-4 hours when i'm using it normally for texting etc. could this mean its faulty? because this shouldn't be right.
I charged it fully when i first got it,

If you are using your phone non-stop for 4hours, then its normal that the battery drains quickly Mine lasts about 3-4 hours of constant use.

Yes, about 3 hours of continuous web-browsing on HSDPA (wifi/bluetooth off) is all I get. My solution was to buy a spare battery from eBay for 7 quid. Curiously, this lasts slightly longer than the official one, so it's my main battery now.
