Battery Update Percentage

Why is that most battery readers on the droid bionic only update the percentage by 10%? I say most because I've found ONE that actually updates by 1%, but that's it. Even the stock battery reader sisplays it in steps of 10%. Is there any workaround to this to help my OCD?

No workaround with the stock battery reader, but I use Battery Monitor Widget, the free version.

It works great and has several different skins and even shows a nice little graph if you want to look at how your battery is being used.

The Motorola framework only reports in increments of 10%, so most battery monitoring apps just take that number. BattMonX uses a different method to poll for battery levels and reports in 1% intervals. The only workaround that I know of (besides an app like BattMonX) is to root the phone and install a custom ROM that changes system level reporting to 1% intervals.

Try 'Battery Left ' which has beautiful, glossy, widgets and once you calibrate the widget to your battery it is very accurate. With 1% increments
