battery usage for first two full days

For two days, started with a full charge in the morning and 10 hours later, battery level was down to about 25%.

So I am averaging 7.5%/hour. That's about twice the rate of my old OV at 3 to 4% per hour.

Same apps and both running CM7.

People have reported 1-2%/hour with no usage. The more you use the phone the more it will drain the battery. It will all depend on your personal usage and how you have things set up.

Some things that drain your battery pretty fast are:

Background data
Auto-sync
3g
wifi
GPS
Having screen brightness high (auto-detect can be bad as well)
Sync for e-mails/apps set to check often (<1hr is pretty bad)
bluetooth (not sure how bad this actually is, put it here just in case)
Having the phone awake for long amounts of time (my biggest issue!!!)
Time without signal
Mobile data searching for 3g (i.e. you get 1x) and the same for wifi searching for signal

I assume you know most of this, since you are not a brand new user, but it doesn't help to reiterate it. I can say with moderate usage I get a full day (16-20 hours) on my battery. Heavy usage will drain it quick. I always have a charger around just in case!

I have been using 2X battery app with manually turning off either 3G or wifi so that only one is active depending on where I am.

The battery usage and the charging has settled down nicely and the past two days, I have gotten the average usage down to 4-5%/hour. Now I can get full 10-12 hours of usage during the day and still have 40-50% left over.

The phone still sucks down power at an alarming rate when it's doing anything but at rest, at least, the usage is down to about 25-30mA.

One thing I have noticed is that the charging cycle pushes the battery voltage level to max and then will not trickle charge again until the voltage level is below 90% even though the reported battery level is at 100%. So depending on when you pull of the charger, your battery percentage may drop very quickly from 100%.
