Help Battery wont charge at all

Hi Ive had my Desire for 2 years now and suddenly the battery will not charge at all. Ive tried using different chargers and removed/replaced the battery itself but it still wont charge. Anyone had a similar problem and if it could be fixed? Cheers.
 
Have look at the phone's microUSB connector for dirt, fluff or simular.
Maybe clean it with a brush or pressured air of a can (that kind for cleaning keyboards).

Plug the phone into the pc, turn the phone off.

Turn then phone back on while holding down.
Charge light come on?

If not, I'd say hardware problem.
