Battery...

Ok, there has been lots of talk about the battery mines been pretty good but all the talk makes me test things out... So I ran a test to see which was accurate the battery indicator in the notification bar or the battery % and seems like the indicator is accurate and the % is off.... usually the indicator displays more than the % which we all know... so I tried it and believe it or not my phone stayed on 5% for an hour without budging then took another 45 min to get down to 1% before I plugged it in... let it charge to full and after 14 hours its showing 60% almost matching the indicator in the notification bar... if there is anyone else willing to test this out and see if they can duplicate my results please do and post your results here but do not let your phone die plug it in when it hits 1% I don't want anyone taking any chances with their phones...

I have the same exact issue on the Samsung Moment. I can get to %15 easily and then it sits there a long while. Then finally it hits %5 and it stays on there for about an hour or 2 under hard usage. It then hits %3 and dies fairly quick after that.

That posting is for people who absolutely need to maximize battery life. Like my post also says..leaving everything on still gives good battery life. Also a black wallpaper actually looks cool..all the application icons pop against the black.

Or you can use a mostly black wall paper with very little in the way of images. I'm actually using the pacman wall paper where its all black and you see pack man and the ghosts go across and stuff. On the Moment, the colors pop especially in the dark ;)

But when I get the Epic, I will not hold back lol

I just installed a very small app called battstatt that reads what the percentage is off of your about screen when you look at the battery percent from the actual phone. There are many different sizes that the widget can be and it tells you the time in words and not a battery type display.

I know this does not help the fact that the factory display is wrong but at least you will know at a glance what the actual percentage is.
