Battle Bears

Well that's what I'm guessing is the problem...

I have my custom HTC Desire without rooting.
Where as Lekky has a rooted Desire with a ROM.

I assume the problem, why one Desire can run it and the other one can't, has to do with that.

btw, Battlebear, I'm really enjoying the game so much! :D I can't put away the game.
Those cute bears got to die :D

I can't wait till more updates come and eventually the full game!

yeah i'm running a rom based on cm on my desire.

Hey my friend Ben, ABOUT - BATTLE BEARS , is the designer of Battle Bears and he said that he is working hard on getting this game to work perfectly on Android, especially the Galaxy S phones because he's not happy that there are a bunch of 1-star reviews. So please be patient! I just came back from his party so i'm tired and going to pass out now. :)

Hey BattleBear

Will there only be "Battle Bears: Zombies!" for android or will you also release
"Battle Bears -1" and "Battle Bears GO"?

I'm dying to know the answer to this question as well! I especially want to play "GO" on my EVO's 4 inch screen! Even if you can't port "GO" to Android for creative reasons [I read on the interwebs that "GO" was only released on the iPad due to the fact that the larger screen allows "BattleBear" to show more detailed characters], PLEASE consider porting "-1" to Android! Even in its beta state, BB is one of the best shooters on Android...

One step at a time boys...the current beta still has some bugs to sort out. Once it's sorted, and the final is released, i'm sure the developer will have no problems porting the rest...if they wish to ;)

@diS and Essex: It's too early to tell whether BB-1 will be ported or not. The only information I can give on that is it has been talked about. As far as BB:Go! goes, I'm not 100% sure either. BB1 is our first foray into the Android Market. We'd like to fix up BB1 so it works how we intend it to. Android is a different beast for us and despite our success so far grappling with it, we've got a little ways to go.

Hope this answer is adequate enough for now. I can't release many details about the subject.

Ha! I forgot about this game. Had it on my iPhone. Thanks BB for porting this over!!!

BTW, you guys should read BB's site. The guys seem super cool.

New update available for the game.

What I don't like about the update is that you have to install
2 times 24MB... which is quite alot for us android users who are limited to 512MB internal storage...

I had to delete quite a few things before I had the change to update...
I hope you can fix the ammount of internal storage it needs!

Perhaps you can fix this by putting an FTP server online that contains all data for SD and then let the initial app download all additional resources from that site?

But I can imagine that developing games etc has it's limitations that makes this impossible to do :)

And although the game description says that "It won't run on HTC Desire" It does :)
I have to inform you that the buttons are half transparent now which kind off looks out of place...
It's better looking when it's not transparent!

btw, It is an amazing update! It now includes ALOT more gameplay!!! Thanks dev!

diS: This was simply a temporary fix to get our game out quicker. However, I've developed a way to make it a single apk (no "add on" pack) that:

1) Installs onto your SD card
2) Downloads necessary assets from the internet to your SD card.

It's a lot more streamlined. The transparency issue will be fixed as well.

Thanks for your support! :)

Thanks Marc.

I updated today and the transparency got fixed!

i do noticed a slightly annoying thing though.
When there's a "mini-movie" playing in the story my phone "goes to sleep".
When you try to awake the phone, the movie ends :p

Despite its flaws, War Bears - 1 was a success, improve the prequel to the original. It's game play, there is intense action, humor, colorful graphics and saturation, is fun and satisfying. Whether you played the first version, this game is the end of the rainbow gold SkyVu pot.
