BBC IPlayer doesn't work

[nathancoast]

Hi all,

I've just purchased new Transformer Pad TF300. I have installed the bbc iplayer app which is supposed to support ICS. However, when I launch the app it simply directs the browser to the bbc iplayer mobile website. I assume this is some fallback option.

It works seamlessly from my phone, HTC Desire HD, Android 2.3.5

Any help greatly appreciated.

thanks, Nathan

Sorry, but it seems you're right. This isn't a self-contained app but a redirect to the browser; it's in short crap. If you're interested in streaming TV then I can recommend myPlayer (Free) or myPlayer Pro (

Until we get a fix from Asus you cant get full, screen out to a TV. It looks like a DRM HDCP bug.

Any browser with flash support allows iplayer to run full screen on the tablet ok.
