Hi Karl, the reason I'm using skyfire is because my dolphin wont run iplayer. If I select a programme, I am shown a big green arrow in the window. Any ideas?
Thanks
Hi Karl,
Did you ever try clicking the big green arrow?
If you did you will find Dolphin HD runs iPlayer perfectly just don't try full screening it as this will hang your tablet.
As for SkyFire, if you like the idea of identity theft or having all your viewing and browsing habits tracked by SkyFire (and whoever they sell your data to) that's fine.

Hi, I did click it, but it it didnt do anything, I solved it tho by changing my Dolphin to "desktop" seems ok now. cant seem to stop it from running in full screen tho as it auto expands.
the User Agent is set to "desktop" I couldnt get it to run in "android". the window just went blank and sat forever doing nothing.
Thanks
Karl.
Karl,
This is puzzling as it would appear we are doing exactly the same thing and getting very different resilts.
Could you humour me for a moment and post one of the URLs you are using so I can compare what happens on my tablet?

just this second tried this. tap green arrow, tap click to play, starts and auto fills screen.
BBC iPlayer - My Family: Series 11: Janey's Choice
sync is also badly out.
...
Thank you tbod
Apologies for the delay, have tried the url you posted and it plays Ok on mine sound 100% in sync with video.
The only difference I can see now is the firmware we are using. You are using Tim's 4e while I am using S0I's (which is based on Tim's 3).
I am unlikely to update my firmware to a newer version from Tim as he seems to be adding so many features I neither want nor need.
The only reason to flash s0I's firmware was for the excellent 3G support. I hope to be rolling my own firmware as soon as I get things set up...
So, do you fancy flashing with s0I's firmware?

tbod
I may give it a go. I can easily reinstall any apps back onto the pad i guess
my main priority will be to back up angry birds level, else the other half wont be impressed.
does everything else work ok under it? im also running a couple of titles using chainfire3D.
Which version do i try? is it revision 3. my screen is x600.
Thanks
OK thanks.
maybe at mo its best i stick to tim4e. mostly for piece of mind that i dont get nagged at
many thanks
Karl
I also have the original on my macbook pro, and seasons on my desire HD. all bases covered!Hi newby,
The BBC iPlayer works fine on the FlyTouch III as long as you don't try full screen because that locks the whole thing up.
I would suggest using the Dolphin HD browser as it is more stable than the stock browser.
I am using Dolphin HD and iPlayer automatically opens in full screen with major lip sync problems. I can't see how to open files any other way. I have tried User Agent set to all options but can't find a working solution
mine does the same thing. tbod on here uses the Dolphin HD browser, an his plays without expanding. we discussed this for a while, but never really found out why they were behaving different.
Karl.
I have just checked and Froyo Full Screen is not loaded. Interestingly iPlayer runs just fine, nice a smooth, just terrible Lip Sync! Wish I could find a way to run it in small screen. The uTube app runs in full screen just fine but uTube from the browser will not run at all.
