Help Beats by Dre software???

OP, if you really know about audio, you'll understand that the Beats Software is almost nothing but a gimmick, the software probably just tweaks the EQ a little, perhaps towards bass

If you really are interested to know more about audio, and how over-hyped those Beats software and headphones are, here's a link, check out the forum and you will know what I'm talking about
Head-Fi.org - Headphone forums and reviews for audiophiles

The headphones themselves aren't that bad, what's bad is that it's overpriced, and over-hyped by Beats themselves, causing people to think it's a much better headphone that it really is

For those saying that beats only works with the beats buds... I call bs based on my own tests. On a family member's rezound, I've tested with the included beats ear buds, a pair of $50 sony ear buds bought before "Beats" existed, and the stock ear buds that came with my galaxy nexus. In all cases, i had the option to enable/disable beats, and could hear the difference either way.

That said, I'm still not impressed. It's basically just one EQ setting that you can toggle. Thanks to this thread I'm now aware of the EQ on the gnex, and it sounds better with actual customizable settings. The rezound has more going for it then this hype though, and I consider it a good phone. I'll be sticking with my Gnex though.

Volume+ (Paid version) comes with an equalizer and a Beats emulator setting, plus it allows you to increase the volume of the external speaker and the headset. Works very well and sounds great.

thanks for correction.
I never tried rezound with different earbud, but read article saying something about not able to turn off.. and I miss understood that.

There's a small problem with the enhancements - you can switch off the Beats Audio enhancement, which enables the HTC enhancer. It's one or the other though, there's no "unenhanced" mode or any other equalizer preset. Still, if you're using the iBeats headset (as you should be), you're better off with the Beats Audio enhancement anyway.

quick question..

For anyone who have purchased better headphones then say the stock samsung ones or apple ear buds.. The "better" ones are MUCH quieter, guessing they take some more power to drive them.

I bought MEElectronics CC51's and i honestly hate them because there is no volume to them..

How can this be fixed? i tried dl'n the free version of vol+ but did nothing. Im sure there is a way as the ibeats in the rezound have to be similar.

Audiophile myself here, and I can certainly attest to this.

Yes and no. You kind of have an idea about what you're saying with this statement, but here's the thing.

Most (if not all) portable electronic devices have a 3.5mm jack with an output roughly around 32ohms

Most (if not all) earbuds have an impedance rating somewhere around 32ohms.

There is a reason for this.

Impedance is really all that matters when you talk about "needing more power".

The higher the impedance rating, the more resistance it has, the more power it will require to use optimally. Higher impedance = more durable.

Anyway before I start talking too in-depth and confusing the lot of you, most if not all ear buds (unless you are looking at some really nice professional ones) are designed to have a similar impedance rating to match the output to that of a common device and therefore will show little if any improvement in sound quality with any type of amplification.

5 band equalizer w/ bass boost and 3d effects, plus, a host of presets.

The only problem I noticed with this is that it only applies to the Music player, so if you use a third party app such as Slacker Radio, it doesn't sound as good. I wish this actually was the "setting" for any music player.

+1 on Beats being an overrated gimmick. For all those thinking beats is good, go on over to headfi.org and read up on them. I put Beats in the same category as BOSE.

+1 on Beats being the old Tizz-Boom effect. But Beats' EQ boosts are at lower/higher center points than the ICS EQ, giving more satisfying results for true Tizz-Boom lovers. The iBeats are the best headphones I have received packaged with a phone, but that ain't saying much. My vote goes to saving up for a better set of headphones--I haven't used the Klipsch model mentioned, but if they live up to their speakers, they sound like a winner.

I do fallow you 100% I actually use to install 12v audio (cars) and mecp/cea cert.

And thank you for the reply i'm sure you educated a few people. :D

doesnt explain why both pairs of my "quality" in ears play at half the volume as stock buds. I mean i guess the manufacture could play with the resistance but that is just a terrible idea knowing they are designed for a certain market...

may i add i bought the "phone" version.. so they know right away its for a droid/iphone. ill be giving them a call tomo.

This question might hae already been answered, but the software has been ported already check out my thread

Want to know the truth about beats audio?

Its a scam.

If you don't want to watch the video, basically when beats audio is turned off, beats audio itself turns off all of the eq settings! When beats is back on, the eq settings go back to normal levels in microsoft's settings.

^that's a HP laptop... no bass and no need to have any bass unless we stuff a pair of 12" subs in there to kick it around.

my hp laptop has the beat by dre... when i shut the program off and run on stock it sounds like garbage.

sound system on my hp is awesome. cant say it's from the beats by dre, but i'm sure it's helping.

cant comment on the phone program though.
