Beep once ring tone

I want to change my desire ringtone to the Nokia Beep once which i had on my old N97.

I have downloaded it and sent it to my phone but i have a slight issue. The problem is the ringtone keeps repeating itself so it keeps beeping.

I have then used a sound editor to add a silence after the beep. This works as it only beeps once but the problem is if you put your ear next to the speaker, it is hissing as its still on.

Does anyone know how to get around these problems and set it perfectly?

You need to perhaps edit it in a better application, or take steps to change the levels for the silent part in the app you use?

Unless it is solely down to desire, in which case not much you can do

Ive tried a couple of editing softwares but same issue.

Any other ideas?
