Root before & after rooting

hii,
i'm confused about root my milestone ,
and i would like to get some help with the following before rooting :
1-) do i have to remove all the apps on the phone memory + sd card ?
2-) after rooting will the phone work as if purchased it i mean calls sms everything .
3-) can i go back to what the phone was before rooting ?

1) No (providing you get the right sbf)
2) Yes (providing you get the right sbf)
3) Yes (providing you do a back up)

I just rooted my milestone last night. There is an app for that! :) It's called Easy Root. Unstable Apps - Mobile apps for a mobile world

If you have a Milestone with 2.1, then it will work. You dont have to do anything else but buy that app for 99cents on their website and download the app. When you run the app, it will show you how easy it is. Follow its steps.

I did that and everything is working fine.

I did that and everything is working fine.

When I've rooted before with out removing apps or flashing to original SBF's it crashed my phone and made the it go in the endless M logo boot loop. So if it's not a hassle I would remove the apps and back up your SD card prior to rooting or flashing. Which is why I said YES to number 1)

Yeah, its always best to play it safe and backup your apps before hand.

Did you use Easy Root?
