Root before i flash GV 1.6

hey :) i have been playing around with DHD and leedriod roms now fora week or so, i would like to try GV is there anything i should do differently? of just flash as normal?

back up done :) flash done installed just wating for the boot up now :)
 
how long should it display HTC on the white screen for? been about 10 mins so far ....
 
10 -15 minutes. any more, do a battery pull. if repeat performance, re-wipe. EXT partition definitely wiped and functional?

One more cup of tea and run terminal emulator to move Dalvik cache to ext partition. :)
 
I have cigarettes in place of tea. It works either way I find, but I'm not much of a fan of tea.

I will say our way with tea wont kill you quicker...hell if you had as many cigarettes as we had tea....well....can we say lung cancer before the first boot up ;):D
