Root benefit of ota 2.2?

I am currently on the leaked 2.3.9 and curious what are the benefits of updating to ota 2.2? Besides of having the newest software?

I haven't read anything to make me want to update? Am I wrong to think this way? I didn't remove any bloatware but did root.....
 
as of right now, i dont recommend the OTA. they upgraded the bootloader, so you cant use the 2.1 sbf if you get into trouble. if anything, upgrade to the leak 2.3.15, but i dont recommend the OTA. there are still bugs and issues, but no .sbf to fall back on. i would stay where you're at for now, because i am sure there will be good things to come in the near future for those that didnt OTA. i believe you're wise to stay where you are for the time being.

I agree about staying put. I'm still on 2.3.9 also and don't have a single problem. Finally decided to root yesterday and installed fly x today. Couldn't be happier and the only thing the ota apparently offers is an inability to fix your phone.
 
I regret getting the OTA. I was running a very smooth 2.3.9 with flyx and though HEY THE NEWEST IS THE BEST!! Not so much. nothing changed except now im afraid to install themes and what not.
 
I too regret getting the OTA prior to a 2.2 SBF being available...I'm afraid of doing any customization due to the possibility of bricking...motorola needs to stop fighting against what so many of there consumers are fighting for...
