Root Best 4.4.4 rom?

So right now I am on Dirty Unicorn's 5.1.1 unofficial rom. Due to the camera absence and the inability to move apps to the external SD card, I am looking to downgrade to a 4.4.4 and wait for the official 5.1.1 rom. I see many options, all are official (or at least I assume that is what beta means vs alpha). Some that I saw are slimkat, paranoid android, and nameless just to name a few. Any suggestions on which one is best or are they all pretty similar? Also, I heard rumors that 4.4.4 cannot move apps to SD card as well. Anyone know if this is true? Thanks!

Its true but there more apps out there that will help u do that and same as the camera use camera fx zoom is one camera there more to chose from I like candy cat but they are all good
 
I think I'm getting to be known as the video guy, but yeah, video does not work reliably (for me at least) on any KK build I've tried, with any of the apps I've tried. If you care about video...

@roadkill42 will only that camera work? Because I tried the snapchat app's camera, as well as the google camera. Neither worked.
@urrachris video is appreciated but I suppose I would be thrilled just to get my camera back. Sucks about the storage issue

You are right. Out of several camera apps, only camera fx zoom worked.

Nameless is great Nice and smooth I extracted an apk camera file from the spirit ROM that was customized works great

Yea vidio don't seam to work some times on the kk ROMs as for apps to exsd there APS for that go to XDA sight u will find something and the closed works good on the kk ROMs have an module for it that u can configer were to down load s go

I personally use a lot of apps for college and work as well as little tool type apps like metronome and notepad. Can't forget the few game apps to keep me busy in between. Also, if that is the only thing wrong with LAwe, I might go for it. I just really want the option of moving things to my SD card...otherwise my SD card serves me no purpose. I just need my internal storage space freed up. I honestly feel like going back to stock because I hate having to work around all these little faults here and there. I guess you cannot expect perfect!

Am doing research on the moving apps to SD card. Found this. What exactly is partitioning and how is it done? For those who have a clear understanding, do you think this method will work?? I'll keep searching for more options.

Further edit. That app says I already can write to SD card. Sigh...wrong...

Its a stock 4.1.2 that @edodson84 and I modified to be a more AOSP experience that was heavily themed to give an Android L like experience. Has listview animations, battery options and a whole lot more that I can't remember off the top of my head. Its very polished and very stable.

Dumb question but when you said "Android L like experience", did you mean lollipop?

Why doesn't hangouts work as a default SMS when clicking on an individuals name a pop up cancel or invite displays maybe I did it wrong
 
I trust the 4.1.2 roms. They all seem the most stable and I have heard a lot of good about LAwe. I just wish I could run kitkat or lollipop. I am also finding that some apps and features will not work on my phone because it is not compatible with my current 4.1.2 stock. But will partitioning an app really make it able to be moved to my SD?

I'm not sure about the 2 other themes for Moonshine, Earl may have removed them due to some GApps incompatibilities or simply just deleted them because the rom isn't supported anymore.. He was hosting all the stuff we worked on at the time so he may know/have a answer for that.

I'm in the same boat, but until (if?) all the bugs are ironed out of the functions I use, I guess I'm stuck with LAwe. Hangouts works, but Im not using it as an SMS client, for that I use Textra.

Well now I am in an even worse situation. I tried putting my phone back on stock to just start over. I thought I did an all-cache wipe along with factory reset but I think I did way much more because when I tried to reboot, it said I did not have an operating system anymore......yikes. Not sure what to do now. Lol, only me.
