Root Best 4.4.4 rom?

Well now I am in an even worse situation. I tried putting my phone back on stock to just start over. I thought I did an all-cache wipe along with factory reset but I think I did way much more because when I tried to reboot, it said I did not have an operating system anymore......yikes. Not sure what to do now. Lol, only me.
If you can get back into recovery restore your last good back up and you should be fine. Sounds like you formatted the system partition after flashing or restoring.

I just reinstalled the lollipopp rom since that was the only one I have on my phone. I do not think I created a backup of my 4.1.2 stock before I flashed lollipop so how should I go about getting back to stock? Obviously I messed up last time haha. Won't ever try something on my own again.

Wipe and then flash these two zips in order before rebooting:

Well screwing up is how we learn...
The first rule of rooting and romming is always make a nandroid backup before flashing anything or making edits to your system partition.

Here's a link to prerooted stock B05 odexed and deodexed.

Normally I would not promote my own mods. But in my own honest opinion, its most likely the best. The modded open camera works fine, video works great with opera browser and it has awesome audio for music with walkman clear audio and equalizer. And much more. And it does indeed move apps to sdcard.
Did you sort out the GApps issue for Googlephiles? [emoji12]

I learned from the past that I do not want the B07. It was difficult for me to root on that for some reason, I had to go back down to something like B01 before I could root.

It's difficult to root while in the ROM but easy when you're in recovery. The SuperSU I link will root it. Just flash it BEFORE you boot into B07 and you'll be rooted.

Wait. So this will put me back onto 4.1.2 right? And unrooted as well, on B07 correct?

Never mind I see what you meant. Answering the original discussion question. Sorry

I think I'm getting to be known as the video guy, but yeah, video does not work reliably (for me at least) on any KK build I've tried, with any of the apps I've tried. If you care about video...
What do you mean by video? Video recording or video playback?

I have problems recording video using any of the other third party camera apps i've tried (eg. Open Camera) on any of the KK builds (I tried Slim, PA, Spirit and Nameless). When I hit record it takes maybe 5 seconds to start recording, and sometimes it does work, but not consistently. If it works then only the first time, if i start recording again, sometimes it will record but the image will be static while recording, but more often than not the app just crashes.
Playback works fine on the recordings that are recorded if the app doesnt crash.
Camera function also works fine.

I really do like this. I like the feel of the Lollipop that I had to downgrade from but this makes it feel like I did not leave it. Awesome job

Using CM11. It is very stable. Only 3 issues remain:

1. Using Open Camera on CM11. It works very well but video recording is now borked.

2. Can't initiate a video call in Hangouts (crash). Might be related to #1.

3. Voicemail Notification stopped working.

Try your video on open camera with sd settings. I might be able to decompile hangouts and point it to open camera instead of the default system camera to resolve the crash. Sounds like hangouts is looking for default cam and crashes when it can't find it. If its not that changing the open camera video settings to sd might prevent the crash.
