best antivirus app for the s3?

Which antivirus app works the best with the S3, especially one that doesn't really drain the battery? I've never used one on my phone, but I'm thinking about trying Avast since it's free and works well on my old desktop PC.

My personal opinion is take care what you download/click and don't bother with Anti Virus.

I know people that wouldn't do without and like the peace of mind but I've never bothered in 4 years of using Android.

Yup, none is best unless you are fond of downloading warez or sideloading apps of questionable origin.

I used Avast for awhile. It wasn't too bad of a battery hog but eventually decided since I only download apps from Google, Amazon, and XDA (on a very rare occasion) it's not worth it.

That being said, if you really want to run one Avast or Lookout are both good choices.

I really like using lookout. I have been using it for years with no problem!

I agree with most of the others in that an AV app is usually either a waste of resources and/or a placebo :thumbup:
