Apps and games are a perceived weak point with android over iOS.

My take as a user of both is this:

Don't just download any old app - check it's feedback, check it's permissions. If in doubt, check on the forum to see what others think. Google do not check quality, functionality or danger in the android Market as apple do with the app store.

Ask people on here what they use for this or that task. You have way more options with android on how you want a job done. Some apps integrate into the os, others sit on top of the os (as with all iOS apps).

Take advantage of the trials on offer with most paid apps. If you like it, do the decent thing and buy the full version. If you don't, the Market and devs will not evolve.

Personally, I don't go installing loads of new stuff at once. I instal a new app then see how/if it affects the rest of the os ( batt life etc). Easier to spot potential issues.

The Market is great, but I would take more from comments on this forum than those on the app reviews. There seem to be far more ignorant gloits down ranking apps for silly reasons than on the apple store.

Just my 2p
