what is the best way to back up everything on your phone. data, settings, pics, etc. i recently had to do a hard restart and restore everything. even after backing up most of my info to the sd card, a lot is still missing. i currently use my backup pro app. please let me know whats best in case i have to go thru this again. been restoring for about 4 hours now

Titanium Backup. Free version only stores the latest backup so make sure you schedule all apps + all data.

Buy it. It's cheap insurance.

Sorry, I thought it worked for non-rooted users too. There's MyBackup Pro, which you already have, but Titanium is worth rooting for. I own both, but Titanium is 10x better.

You asked for the best. :D

Nandroid backups are the only way to backup *everything* (I even restored one to a different Droid X I got as a replacement b/c of some sd card issues)... But that definitely requires root.

Interesting. Someone complained the other day that restoring her nandroid to a new phone (both Droid-X), caused a boot loop.

But what if you don't want to void your warranty of the phone? I understand when it's rooted you are able to get the phone on different carriers and stuff. This is the reason why I would rather stay unrooted.

Oh yeah, I remember Boost does offer a 1 year warranty for your phone. But if things go wrong, all I have to do is contact Boost or Samsung or if they cannot help me since I would have voided it, to just go here for help to get stock ROM back on my phone. So is it really worth rooting? If that is the case, I might as well just root! lol
