Best Buy Details

Not going to do too much of that right away as this will be my first Android phone. I will have plenty to learn just as far as the OS in general.

Check these forums right here at AndroidForums for some great info and answers to General Android questions. Of course, any questions specific to Sense/Thunderbolt you can post here and we will do our best to help :)

what do you think about getting a new droid phone untill the thunderbolt comes out and return it. I seems like it will be out with in two weeks. I have an old envy touch which keeps dying on me.

I just bought an Inspire 4G on the "no commitment pricing" at AT&T (my current provider). Tired of waiting for the T-bolt. If the T-bolt comes out soon, and is fairly priced with good network performance, I'll return the Inspire and jump over to Verizon. If not, I'll stick with the Inspire.

Thinking about saying the heck with this mess and getting a Fascinate from Wirefly.
My wife has an upgrade coming from VZW in July and then I'd use that to get the 'Bolt (the way it's going, July might be close to release time, anyway).
Then, put the Fasc. on her number and the 'Bolt on mine.
I'd have to wait 6 months for a Wirefly change-right?
Do you think VZW would raise a stink with all that switching around?
I really want the 'Bolt, but my Eris is getting old and I've been waiting for it since the first Mecha rumors. I've had a NE2 since Dec. and I'm just getting tired of all this B.S.
Besides, like someone said, I might be dust by the time this thing is released.

Don't get the fascinate, you will regret it later. Samsung took out some of the standard android stuff like I can't touch an address in my calendar and it take me to Google maps, or touch a phone # and take me to the dial screen. I doesn't have froyo yet eather.

I was thinking of opening an account and getting one also. The problem is I'm then on the hook for the $35 restocking fee, the $36 activation fee and pro-rated usage. That comes out to about $100 for 1-2 weeks. Of course, since Feb 1 we've thought this phone was 1-2 weeks away.

EDIT: I didn't notice, but I'm now a "Member" I've shed the "Junior" tag! I'm a big boy now!!!

So far I am very happy. All of five minutes! My first Android and I am really diggin' it. FREE from contracts! FREE from iOS!!! Woot woot! I wish it had a kickstand. Bad. 13 Mbps also. hehehe

You are not getting 13MBPS on a 3G phone (I know they call it a 4G, but it's not)

Jay any cases at Best Buy for the Thunderbolt that you like? Sorry bored and trying to fill my time with something Thunderbolt related lol.

I was about to ask that as well. lol I ordered a Seidio case, but I like to have a few different ones.

The Inspire is such a sweet phone

Indeed, the only US major carrier version of the Desire HD with NO changes
AT&T crapware is on board and many removed native Sense apps such as Locations are removed (HTC's premium navigation, better than Google Nav)

But its essentially what the ThunderBolt is, minus the design and some software and hardware specs (kickstand / srs speaker behind the kickstand)

Inspire has SRS but its not as big as the speaker on the ThunderBolt, but also the ThunderBolt isn't made from a single block of aluminum like the Inspire is

so both phones regardless of the carriers are excellent, not to mention there built by HTC.

another nice thing about the Inspire, its compatible with ALL the Desire HD accessories, including that car dock that was just announced in Europe as well for the Inspire. it even fits all the same cases.

Speaking of cases, I received my Seidio Innocase II for the Thunderbolt today, and i must say the construction is better than the one i got for the Incredible, it even has a better rubber feel for grip, and the cutouts are nicely done and smoothed out.

then I checked there website this morning, they have pictures of the Innocase Active X

i've not read too much up on the issue,

but my favorite is the case holding the phone.
bulky. square. wood. locked.

now Verizon--ship so we can fill THOSE cases.

(sorry to jack this post--couldn't help it)

If we're to have the phones for the 28th, I'd imagine they'd be in by saturday (I'd find out sunday) but realistically we could even have them monday.

If we're to release on the 3rd, we'll have them by the 2nd I'd imagine

Agreed, I want it for the LTE and the other features i mentioned :P
the kickstand and SRS Speaker are just icing on the cake.

I currently use my Incredible as an MP3 player while i'm at work since we can't wear ear buds, i'm hoping the ThunderBolt's speaker is louder and sounds nicer

LTE when it comes to my area will be nice, then i wouldn't have any dead spots around me.
