Best Buy Details

Is is possible this was from prior to the release of the November phones?

Now that you mention it, it looks like this is the device sheet that shows what they carry and which stores

its also possible that they still put the release date on them even if there already out

But the 10th sounds like it was original release date according to BMX
it was around St Patricks day originally, but its also a week from that date in this screenshot, so maybe this is the "earlier than expected" date :P

i DON'T freaking care at this point, I just want Verizon to open there yap and say when so i can stop reading rumors....

I have heard rumors beginning with a video review (can't track down the original) that the TB is monocoque/billet. I am fairly sure it is not. Even though the Inspire does not look like it is, that is indeed correct. Any firm evidence on the TB?

Desire HD is the same exact phone which is made from the same material, a solid block of aluminum, you can find the details on AT&T"s product page, HTC's and in the press release from CES

Thunderbolt isn't because of its design, it has a removable battery cover whereas the Inspire you have to slide the battery out of a slot

Edit: and now we have two confirmations that BestBuy has them

it looks like my theory about the best buy mobile system is true

I use to be a manager for a retail chain. This reminds me of when the xbox 360 first came out. Every store in the chain had the systems well in advance but they did not go live in inventory until the day they could be sold. It could be possible these phones are in some locations with an outstanding PO that has not been processed through. Could explain the static 2/21 instock date and the bb chat.

Some attempted clarification:
10:39 PM Kimberly:
Thank you so much! How can I help you out today?
10:39 PM Me:
There seems to be some confusion regrarding whether Best Buy has the Thunderbolt in stock. Can you clarify? A Best Buy employee said he doesn't see any in the inventory system but someone got confirmation on a chat with Best Buy mobile that they are in stock. Can you confirm?
10:41 PM Kimberly:
We have them, but they are not showing in the system so that we are not accidently selling them. But we do have them.
10:41 PM Me:
At the stores or a warehouse?
10:42 PM Me:
Any idea what the holdup is? And will it still be 249.99 with 2 yr contract at launch?
10:42 PM Kimberly:
they are in the stores warehouse, each store is connected to a center and they all have a warehouse in the area, so they are there. They will sell for the 249.99 at launch with a contract.
10:43 PM Me:
Thank you Kimberly, you have been most helpful.
10:43 PM Kimberly:
You are welcome, is there anything else that I can help you with?
10:43 PM Me:That's all.

Exactly, thats what my theory is, even the retail chains i've worked for have done this. Its the best way to control inventory when there is this much demand/anticipation, even among employees so there clueless about it.

which also leads to my other theory that the only reason Jay can see the sku in his system is because there stores are doing pre-orders so it would likely be a sku to ring up rather than a sku in the Mobile system to sell through Verizon's contract system.

the other reason as to why I don't think Jay will see the inventory at any location
