Well if 5GBs is $50 I don't even want to hear what unlimited is. This is such BS. How can they just tell us this now? Well when is the next HTC 3G phone being released?

Every time I find out new information on the phone, it makes the release less and less exciting. First finding out it's 249.99. Then the delayed releases. Then it's 299.99 at BB where I pre-ordered. Now that it might not come with an unlimited data plan.

Not at all, but it also gives them a way to charge based on speed, which means they can give us half speed for cheaper and full speed for a premium cost.

anyone starting to think the "billing issues" is what were starting to hear about now as one of the causes for the delay too? (they were probably thoroughly testing to make sure no one can get around the speed locks or whatever method they have in place to be able charge in this manner)

All I want at this point is a new phone because I cannot stand my Voyager anymore. I refuse to pay that much for 4G but I don't want to get something as old as the Inc or X especially after getting my hopes up for the TB. This is so damn frustrating. Anyone have an opinion on the situation? Is VZW going to have any new 3G phones any time remotely soon?

I'll be sticking with ATT if all these rumors turn out to be true. That isn't the device I signed up for. No Skype too? Come on Verizon. You suck if this is how you do things. Makes me feel like I have the king with ATT.

Correct me if I'm wrong but you should be able to buy the TB w/o having a 4G plan seeing as how you have to have the SIM card in order to use the LTE. The reason why sprint forced everyone into a 4G plan was because there was no way to not allow the phone to use 4G if it was not being paid for.

I suppose if it were me, I'd wait it out. You're so close and I think once this thing releases you'll wish you had it...then you'd be dealing with a new hassle of returning a phone or having to sell it. Plus, without knowing the details, we don't know if you can just switch off the ability to use 4G, so then you could own a great phone with the option of using 4G if you want and utilize the other nice features of the phone. Hang in there. We'll survive this.
And remember, in the end, it is only money.

My source... Corp VZW Manager... said the date is the 7th but it was bring pushed back to the 10-14th POSSIBLY. Also that he got word that the phone was going to match the price of the 32GB iPhone 4. $299.99 this kinda explain why the price changed at BB. He was extremely sure about this. Same guy that let me take shots of the dummy phone. To me he is reliable. I really hope that he was wrong but he seemed sure.
On a good note I got my iPhone 4 16GB at discount $150 and he said if things change or the price goes to 249.99 then he will take care of my stocking fee for me. If he is right I'm looking for an announcement on the 3rd or atleast that's when the preorder will start...

If they force tiered data plans on both 3g & 4g then i wont be upgrading with verizon. If it's only the LTE that is tiered I will still buy the TB but w/o 4g service just because I like the size of it better than the Incredible S/2 that is supposed to come out in a few months.

I suppose you're right. My whole family just really wants to upgrade. I just hate that VZW won't be straight up about any of this stuff. We have been loyal customers and we aren't going to change so why can't they just pay us a smidgen of respect and let us know how we are going to give them our money? My phone dies after about 3-4 hours. I literally NEED a new one and they are making this as hard as they possibly can...so lame. But thanks for the kind words, I will try to wait out the next couple of weeks...or whenever this damn thing comes out.

I agree about the benefits of the Bolt even without 4G. I love my INC, but I'm really looking forward to the extra screen room. One might say just buy an X, but I love Sense UI.

I could do w/o that if i had to. Like I said, I just like the form factor of the TB. If it turns out that i can only use it for 3g then so be it.
The only thing that has me worried is in that announcement it sounded alot like even the 3g service would be tiered and they would be offering different speed packages kinda like the way time warner does their internet.

no offense but everyones source has been quoted as reliable, and nothing has panned out, we are all at a wait and see. pricing and all. Ive had sources i thought to be reliable and none of their info panned out either and they could have swore they were in the loop fully.

All data will be tiered, Verizon said this before for over a year now, 3G and 4G will be tiered at some point.
but for what its worth, the launch of the Tbolt and its owners (hence the hype build probably) is to use those users to figure out a plan to "usher in" the 4G LTE tiered plan roadmap. so by monitoring basic usage they would then be able to figure out what the avg person will consume versus heavy baadwidth hogs (remember that article back in january that said Verizon will throttle the top 1% of heavy bandwidth users
