At this point, the damn thing better be perfect. Skype integration, ten day battery, flawless LTE out of the box. EVERYTHING!

...make my dog's breath smell better, bake a cinnamon roll every hour, rub my feet, make my mother-in-law stop bothering me, my wife a nympho, and download at 21 Mbps.

Ha! I too wish we lived in a world where that actually would happen. You know its bound to have issues and people will bitch about it.

Some people don't understand what it means to be an early adopter. You usually end up waiting and waiting for something you have been "researching" ever since an online blog leaked a patent about some new technology a year prior. Then after repeated "delays" it comes out and it has issues.

With this said, I got my G1 on launch day, I've had to have it replaced 4 or 5 times...but yet I still have it. I waited and waited for it to come out, the issues pissed me off, but ultimately I was happy with the device.

I am expecting a similar outcome with my TB, although I am hoping I dont have to exchange it so many times. lol

Here is my question what is Best Buy's recourse going to be if this phone never comes out???.......We are going on the third ad of them advertising a product that to us is basically vaporware. If these ads are out 6 months in advance as some have alluded to then at what point do we stop seeing the non-existant (if it is destined to be so) TBolt in BBY ads? I mean are we going to have to look at it for another 21 or so weeks in the ad

Just registered as a newbie. I have been reading this thread for a while now since I am also waiting on the TB patiently. I called a Verizon store on Wednesday and asked what they may have heard about the release date. Without a pause the girl said "July - but probably sooner since we are getting accessories in now." The other stores just said "We don't know."

Only an automated "do not reply to this email" type of email. I was called 2-3 days later.

I was using Chrome and the screen just went blank after hitting submit, I did not get any confirmation email either. I will re do it in IE. Thanks.

I hope that was massive sarcasm. Both Skype and a 10 day battery are most unlikley.

Mostly sarcasm.

Battery life of 10 days=extreme exageration. As long as I only have to charge it every night I am fine, every other night would be awesome though.

In regards to the skype thing, they better have that on there.
While I don't expect to use it much and it is not a huge selling point for me, I do expect it to be on there at this point. Wasn't it released almost a week ago?

As for LTE, that does need to be perfect. I travel (within the states) a lot do not want to drop calls every time I switch towers. Since my wife is on ATT, between suspected thunderbolt LTE problems and her lack of service, I will never get to talk to her when I am away from home.

Of course all of those issues were rumors and may have never been problems in the first place. But, if these were issues, they definately had enought time to work them out.

I am hoping for charge every other night with low data use.

LTE will be used only for data. The phone is still 3G. If you are/were happy with VZWs 3G network you will continue to be happy with it. VoLTE is coming but I doubt to the TB. Not much need really. Voice just does not require the bandwidth.

Well seems like HTC is getting impatient with Verizon. I mean if the phone has been ready forever then it seems like verizon is just licking steve jobs balls over iphone 4. I am not surprised that Sprint gave Evo such good marketing. That is problem with ATT and Verizon and Apple. Iphone always gets special over the top treatment. When it comes to Apple vs ATT and Verizon. Its always Apple that is the boss calling shots.

This was taken from another thread:

Take this for face value it was Best Buy employee PLEASE. So I got my Incredible back from repair for software issues and after call to Verizon last night with no new information on their end I decided to ask while getting my phone all put back in order. They said they were authorized to tell customers they have been told they will have phone available on the 15th and they are suppose to have it for 2 days before Verizon sells it on 17th.

This is again only hearsay but this was Manager plus three sales reps stating this is what they have been told to tell customers from their upper management. So I know way endose this to be true but I feel need to pass it on since this is what I will be going by to pick up my phone until I hear otherwise before then.
