Best Buy Details

I'm.giving the Evo a trial on Sprint, and wow, they have improved their network. Also, the Evo is pure sex...love this device.

If the thunderbolt isn't announced soon, I'm switching.

I tested a 4G device on Sprint and only managed 3 megs down. Not a good rating for 4G. By comparison I get 2 megs down consistently on my 3G Touch Pro 2.

Sorry I haven't read a lot of the post lately(work interferes with a lot!) I just went into my local VZW store and asked if they would have Tbolts in stock by the time I make it to them by 4pm which ever day it comes out. Also I told them I can pre-order through BB and get one for sure, the owner wants my business so he put me down for a $50 pre-order. He said they are due in the 4th and not to be mad if they don't come in being they have been delayed multiple times already. I am only writing this because I have read so much and am so Fing excited that I needed to share, I am making a forum post from my Tbolt Friday when I pick it up! I will also be looking for Skype friends.

Don't count on it, bruh. The way this whole thing has gone down so far, I'll believe the TB's out when it's in the palm of my grubby little hand. But I WILL keep refreshing this thread 10x a day though! lol

Yo guys check this out. I don't know if you've seem it or not but it's pretty interesting.

Yeah...but when you throw in that you can grab an evo 4g for around $120...plus sprint's $125 credit until April for switching carriers...plus unlimited data for $29.99 (+ $10) that includes the mobile hot spot feature for 5 devices for no extra data use/charge(?)...plus all the Verizon/Best Buy uncertainty...it does beg consideration.

Not trying to promote sprint or anything...and I think I'll still hang in there on my bb preorder or Verizon for the t-bolt - whatever comes first. But just saying...

Yeah, I completely understand your point regarding investor relations, company image, etc. I can't argue with that. I suppose I was just letting out a bit of frustration. As someone has mentioned several pages back, reading VZW's dismissive attitude of stop complaining and "move on to other things" just rubbed me the wrong way.

Truthfully I'm fine with limited information while they get their ducks in a row. I just wish they'd do a better job of acknowledging our inquires or just not say anything at all until that official announcement, ya know? You can have honesty without full disclosure, and if they were doing that, people would be a lot less ticked off.

Folks keep posting it but it does not sink in at all.

ALL WE HAVE is a hub bub at CES and a publicly communicated date of Q1. Of course along with any assumptions you want to make based on a crap load of web and TV advertising and whatever BS you have got from Best Buy.

Short of providing a date I'm not displeased with the small announcement from Verizon today. Sure I want date like the rest of us but I also know its very unlikely to get it much sooner than the actual street availability date.

Release dates are incredibly important competitive details. They just are not going to share until the time is just right (by their own definitions).

I know it is very easy to let ones anxiety turn to anger or other negative emotions. As rational beings we need to control that.

29.99 for unlimited data
and
29.99 for the hotspot feature

rooting & getting hotspot for free=priceless :)

i'm on Sprint w/ the Evo, now, awaiting the Thunderbolt.

The only good thing about this delay is SGP screen protector and Seidio case have been shipped. Will have them by the time this thing comes out.

A claimed financial analyst from Verizon "announced" a somewhat cryptic release date over at Androidcentral. His general language and demeanor indicate some level of genuineness.

"Today i got to Hold and play with a thunderbolt. Unbelievable. this thing is Really really fast. my Supervisor gave me a specific Date And told us the to start preparation for launch which includes lining up future projection sheets and sales Yield analysis for upper management. Much of what needs to be done is scheduled very very shortly before All launches. it's coming. this information is Relevant to all Customers waiting the thunderbolts' Hard launch date. though i am not allowed to Tell you Exactly when it's launching due to my job security, Need not worry, the thunderbolt is sure to capitalize its sales now that its perfected."

Non subtle hint: Look at the capitals!

Wow. I felt like a treasure hunter figuring that out.

Whoops...forgot about the additional fee, my bad. Same as the Verizon additional fee for hotspot I guess, but I think the difference is that sprint is then unlimited. And discussing all of these known prices does tend to take the mind off murkier things...oh, like release dates. :)

By the way, I heard somewhere that when I reach 100 posts on this forum I go to the head of the line with getting a t-bolt. Can someone give me a "confirmation" on that. ;)
