best buy release date 4/29/10??

I think you should do more research. BB only covers warranty up to a month after purchase. After that, Verizon has to honor the warranty and you can take it to verizon. The reason alot of people buy at BB is that they usually get a cheaper price on the phone

And you do not have to pay the $35 restocking fee at BB if you return the phone like you do at Verizon.

I wonder if this truly means that BB will be the only ones to have it on 4/29, and not VZW corporate stores until May. If that's the case, my wait just got longer because I won't buy it from BB.

All of the release dates have been pointed at BBMobile having them on 4/29 with the ad hitting on 4/25. Nothing has been mentioned (that I have seen) about Big Red doing the same dates...

I think the better question is when is the release to new egg, Wire fly, and Ama zon mobile. They all have lower prices on Upgrades than Vz corp stores or BB. At those new contract droid is $30 or upgrade @ $50 w/ free s&h (for primary and secondary lines). Storm 2 is as low as 0.01 on all lines. Also checked with them and these prices are valid after 10 months in a 1yr or 20 in a 2yr on their sites.

So even w/o my NE2 this is prob gonna be cheaper. I was hoping for a beginning of the month release b/c I can renew 4/15 and my centro is a piece.

Best buy had a preorder for the Motorola Droid on 10/29 amd the phone could be picked up at the store on 11/6

The phone was also available at verizon stores 11/6, No preorder..

So, if they do the same with the Incredible it will be available at Best Buy and VZW stores on the same day.

FYI, Best Buy will MATCH any price. Online or Brick and mortar (at least at our store we will). As long as it is in stock. Also we dont directly do the 50/100 NE2 credit but we will look at the Verizon store price and take it off of their price. If that is then cheaper than our price we will match it to that. But most of the time we are cheaper than the corporate store even after the NE2 credit and there are no mail in rebates at BB.

And yes sometimes we get retail exclusives for phones and get them before the corporate stores do. Benefit of being a VERY large company with leverage.

Has that been tested (or does verizon say this)? I've had an official verizon retailer tell me I could take it to a corporate store and then I couldn't (and the retail store no longer was in business).

Yes you can. The problem is sometimes you get lazy Verizon employees that dont want to deal with it. But they are SUPPOSED to send it off for warranty work for you.
