Best buy?

I'm sure Best Buy learned its lesson from the little Thunderbolt fiasco. They'll probably wait until Verizon tells them it's ok and at that point they'll advertise it. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if it's in Sunday's paper for a Monday release.

That's what I'd say is funny about the Thunderbolt's release. I wonder how many Verizon Wireless store employees hated the fact that the Thunderbolt's release was mis-advertised by Best Buy a few weeks before the phone was even out.
 
I just got back from my local best buy and they have the devices at the store. The sales woman was kind enough to bring one out from the back and let me play around with it. I only got to use it for about 5 minutes or so but I am sold on it. I thought the device felt solid in my hand and the screen on it is superb. I compared it to my friends Iphone 4 screen and both of us agreed that it was clearer and seem to have better contrast. I asked her when I could purchase it and she told me tomorrow. I will be there first thing in the morning to get mine.
 
Well I tried to get it today but the sales woman was unable to finish the order through the system because the street date is tomorrow. She was nice enough to put the phone aside for me tomorrow.

What you should've done is thrown a small fit, maybe pull a nose hair when she wasn't looking so you could pretend to cry and see if she'd throw in a gift card for your "inconvenience". heh.

I remember everyone throwing a fit with the Thunderbolt and landing themselves $100-$150 gift cards.
 
Man, I just got back from Best Buy. They only have 2 in stock and the retail price is $799.00 Yes $800.00 - $1.00. When I asked why it was so much retail, she told me that was going to be the price for a lot of retailers.
She also told me I couldn't even see it until tomorrow (Monday) Maybe I ain't cute enough. I confirmed with Verizon the retail price will be $649. Whew!

Best Buy should be able to price match btw.
 
I just called my local best buy and they do not have any and the sales person said that it is not on their website either. Strange, maybe Best Buy is a little hesitant after the Thunder Bolt or waiting until Thursday (typical Verizon release dates) or Sunday to release. I hope it is not as long as Black Friday.
 
Wirefly has it for $249 w/ 2yr Contract I wonder if Best Buy or Verizon would price match.. I've been back and fourth so much between this and the GNex but I think I'm gonna stick with HTC I might check out the GNex when it comes out I've got a few upgrades to burn
 
Verizon is giving $100 off any LTE phone on there website just got my Rezound for $194 w/ free overnight shipping
 
hmmm it just showed an ad on the side of the website and when I checked out it took $100 off of the $294 it was quoting me . I have a business account maybe that's the difference . I know when I bought my Thunderbolt I got a discount unexpectedly when I checked out
 
I was able to pull up $269 just now via my corporate discount I think. I will need to check back Wednesday. If I can get $50 on top of that, I'll pull the trigger now.
 
I picked mine up from Bestbuy - for $219.99! I got them to price match Walmart. Go to Walmart wireless site. Search for Rezound and you'll see it's $219.99 (there's a catch, but don't worry about it). Print out the cart and take it to BB and hopefully they'll match it. My local store did :)
 
Sorry to change the subject a little, but what is the difference between buying it at Best Buy and the Verizon store other than possible better price? What if I have issues? Can I go to the Verizon store?
 
If you have any Verizon discounts coming such as loyalty, you need to go through Verizon (online or in store). Also Best Buy will try to get you to buy their protection and service plan.

I ended up going through Verizon online for the free activation and my $50 loyalty credit. But seeing the others getting $100 off is making me wonder...

At this point I just can't wait for it to arrive tomorrow - it's already shipped!!!
