I know these pre-order listings are sometimes hastily thrown together,so,no alarm should be taken w/the following:
AT&T release date: 12/31/13 (Role swapping w/VZW)
AT&T ANDROID v: 4.2.2

Not only can you pre-order the AT&T Note 3 from best buy BUT the website, the local store manger, the mobile device center (whatever it is called) manager and the Samsung Rep at best buy all verified that the pre-orders in store will be available for pickup this Friday 9/27. So I placed my pre-order (which is putting $50 down and getting a $50 gift card). Worse case, if they don't have it ready for pickup by 10/1, I'll just go get my N3 from AT&T's local store and use the gift card for GTA V or something.

I'd give it odds it might drop by 9/27.
I got my HTC ONE pre-order from BEST BUY delivered before any local T-MOBILE stores had it in stock,about 10 days-2 wks before.
Hmmm. An extra hundred dollars to have the phone a few days early? I'm not biting on that one. You guys go right ahead: as infuriating as my Gnex has become, she can hold on a few more days...

Price match is a YMMV,but,their insurance is the draw for me.
However,I'm going w/T-MOBILE this time,as of right now,it's not even available by pre-order w/them.
That,&T-Mobile's JUMP program includes insurance,admittedly not as good as BB's GEEK SQUAD protection,but,that's another discussion altogether.......

My apologies,I could have stated my previous post a little clearer:
Yes,I'm aware T-Mobile went live on 9/18 for pre-order,I've done that already.I was speaking of pre-ordering via BEST BUY (Only the AT&T is pre-order,VZW will be available in-store on their respective release day).
T-Mobile's version isn't available via BEST BUY,so,I went direct via T-Mobile this time.

Actually,$75 cheaper,off-contract:

The white one still shows "Release Date: 09/27/2013" but the black one now says "Release Date: Not Yet Announced."
My guess is Best Buy will have it the same day as the AT&T stores (they always have in the past). If what has happened in the past (with the Note 1, Note 2, S3 and S4) happens again, AT&T will ship their pre-orders 2 days before they are available in store, so pre-orders get them the same day they release but do not have to wait in line. And Best Buys will have them available the same day as the stores. Which means 10/3 release date and arrival for everyone on AT&T and Best Buy. I'm still hoping for 9/27 though...
