Best buy

When i went to pick mine up, it seemed the last thing the guy wanted to do was activate my phone. He joked around with his coworker, working out some deal they were doing between each other. He actually got up while opening the battery to put it in and helped a customer pick out a case. He did not ask if I wanted any thing set up like they advertise. Still after all that it was the quickest I have been getting a phone with them, guess since I preordered online.

Copper: well it worked for legal.. Maybe you can try to see if they let you purchase it and leave..

I actually preordered mine on my son's line. I just let them activate it as ordered. Then swapped sims when we got home.

I did try to get a sim from verizon for his line when I got a phone on ebay for him for christmas. We wanted to have the sim so he could activate it after he got it but not disconnect his current one tipping him off that he got one. They did not let me leave with a sim unactivated (which they did do the year before in the same situtation). They put an order on it and it stayed on the online as an activation pending for the longest time. Not sure if it just fell off by itself but it is not on there now.

I know my situation is a little different, but just putting my GS3 sim in the G3 after I had swapped his phone back to his DNA (i used the new sim he got in the g3 and put it in his DNA so that his line stayed on the activated sim) I just have his old sim now incase I need it. No changes to my UDP line other than the phone, his line activated and renewed till 2016. Took the website a few hours to see the changed but it recognized the equipment automatically, no entry on the website for device swap needed.
