Best call blocker?

I have a decent Samsung Tracfone running 6.0.1. I've tried several call blockers, none seem to work very well. I am especially interested in blocking "update" messages from 24719. Had one that seemed to work, but I accidentally deleted it & I can't remember which one of the THOUSANDS on Play it was. What's the BEST call blocker, especially from text numbers like 24719? Thanks!

I hate them all. They're intrusive, have too many ads and are too expensive. I'm not trying to be negative, I'm just frustrated over the state of fraudulent calls.

Agreed. It's hard to not be negative in this benighted world if you're paying the slightest bit of attention.

Oh well, ISY now won't block texts from 24719 anymore, either. So, I've just attempted to set up a Youmail account. Wow. I'm reluctant to give out an email address, so I set one up on the anonymous Protonmail. So far so good. Put in a fake name. Then the setup began displaying & dialing 3 or 4 completely random numbers for a reasons I do not get. WTF??? I just want something which will ALWAYS COMPLETELY BLOCK any number I tell it to. WHY does this App need "an account", and what is the point of those random numbers? I have deleted Youmail since I have no idea what it's doing with all this. I don't need to have blocked calls "forwarded", just BLOCKED and sent to oblivion. What am I missing here? Open to retrying Youmail given the recommendations, but what is all this about? TIA

Those random numbers are to forward your calls to Youmail instead of your carrier's voicemail. I have T-Mobile and Youmail has to dial those numbers to set it up otherwise your voicemails go to your carrier.

Youmail is a voicemail app as well as a call blocker. It has customized greetings.

For spam or robocalls it plays the greeting that says "This number has been disconnected". Can any other call blocker do that for you??

As far as that ISY blocker, I've never heard of it and it looks kind of fishy to me.

In my personal opinion, TrueCaller is the best app. The app shows you the name of caller and also allows you to block the spam calls. Well, there are other apps available in the play store as well. Some of them are listed below:

1. RoboKiller
2. Hiya
3. Call Blocker
4. Mr.Number
5. Calls Blacklist

TrueCaller used to be a wow app..then they started to be greedy..and now it's a good for nothing app..it makes the camera of your phone work at it's disposal..what the heck does a call blocking app needs the camera for???..exactly!!!..thank you!!!..if I were you TrueCaller users..I would stay as much far away from that scam of an app..

Just my humble opinion..that in fact in this forum it's been well documented in the past that when apps that have nothing to do with the camera start controlling the camera of your phone..that's way fishy.

Now..if you like so much the app like I do..here's what I did with it:

I had the Pro Version..cloned it..rewroted it prohibiting it access to the camera..now is a good app.
