Best case and skin protector?

What are your plans for buying a case and screen protector? Amazon.com: TPU-Cases High Gloss Black Flexible TPU Skin Cover Phone Case for HTC Evo 3D (Sprint) [TPU-Cases Retail Packaging] - Revision 3: Cell Phones & Accessories

That is the case I am looking at. Anyone know about it? It has good reviews but I am confused about what kind of material it is. Also, where can I get someone to put a screen protector on for me? I bought cheap ones that didn't go on right for my Optimus, so I'm afraid of buying more for the Evo.
 
In my opinion, in the past the OtterBox series of cases have provided the best protection. They are very sturdy and reliable. The customer service there is amazing, as well.

Make sure you don't buy anything until after getting the phone. It may have minor changes which would make it so you can't use the same cases. I haven't seen proof that all the accessories work with both or not. Probably won't be completely sure until release, unless they made a statement that I missed (entirely possible).

I think it would be dumb for them to do that, but companies do things I think are dumb all the time.
 
I plan on getting a "Case-Mate Pop!". It's plastic outside, and rubber (TPU?) lined. Oh and it has a kickstand.

As far as screen protectors, I've heard good things about Boxwave over on the Evo 3D forums, so I'm probably getting one of their anti-glare/anti-fingerprint protectors.

from everything i have seen the phone is the exact same just rebranded. all of the buttons are in the same place and everything. the otter box defender is the best. protective shell, screen protector, and rubber shock absorber. also has belt clip with kick stand. on ebay for $23 total. well worth the investment. a virgin mobile rep on facebook has confirmed to me the accessories will work :-)

Really good reviews and only 5.95

All sources have stated that it is identical to the Sprint Evo 3D. I figured I'd take the chance for 6$. I've seen an Otterbox on an Evo, and be prepared to strap it to your belt... [which is not my style] No way it'll fit in your pocket, unless you are wearing some old JNCOs. LOL.
 
I've seen several people say this phone is big or bulky. Looking at the specs, it seems in line with other phones. Its 12mm thick, the nexus (a top of the line phone) for example is 9. Is it really that noticeable?
 
You add a higher end Otterbox case to any of the 4+ inch screen phones, you'll probably need to hostler it. My brother has the Droid X with the Otterbox and you pretty much have to clip it to your belt.

The case that I mentioned a couple of post back, had good reviews for the amount of protection it offers.

Im not sure about that. My friend loved his Otterbox for his iPhone 3G, but i have heard that their cases since then seem to leave the phone with a little wiggle room inside. I watched several reviews for the Evo 3D's otterbox that said it often needed to be taken apart and cleaned out, also.

Im thinking the ballistic shell sg is a good deal. Plus its half price right now.

Agreed the Ballistic cases look the best in my opinion, but everyone has one there opinion, ill be grabbing a Ballastic case. ;)

Got this case in today from amazon. Really nice two piece (inner rubber/outer hard plastic shell). Would totally recommend the quality for the price. Came with two super clear nice die cut screen protectors.. actually I would've paid the 6$ alone for them. Not as bulky as the otter box, but a nice amount of protection. Now if I could just have my Evo V in hand!

I order mine last week , looks realy good and has alot o protection :D I order the hard core I'm impressed with the protection

I know, I was considering also looking at that (Ive copied a lot of people, the screen protector, case, and your SAVE20 code haha)
But I think I'll see what the OEM battery can do, and if I can tweak the battery life out of it before jumping into extended batteries.
And I didn't feel like dropping more money today on Evo stuff :D

Fascination? LOL I think that's a little too much. Screens can get scratched up. Anything can happen. People spend lots of money on smartphones and want to have protection for it. I hardly call that a waste of money.
