Accessories Best Case

Culverin

Newbie
Hey guys, I'm not sure if you guys are tracking the accessories out there, but everything seems to be these cheap silicon cases, leather pouches or fake carbon fiber stuff.

This phone will be my lifeline to my friends, it will be my source of mobile computing and information on the go.
I have no intention of skimping on it.

I've done a fair amount of searching, and can't seem to find a serious case for it.
Does one even exist?

I'd be looking at something with either billet aluminium or carbon fiber.

Perhaps something like these?

Factron

or

Element Vapor

Any help you've got would be greatly appreciated!!!

Well here is the thing, everybody has their own opinion on cases. I like the Body Glove case because of it's "versatility". This case is flexible when you take it off, but it feels pretty solid when you put it on. It protects it REALLY well, I have dropped it on the back and the front and there were no scratches on either end. It adds almost nothing onto the phone and it feels nice and smooth. I saw the incipio case and I knew that snap on cases just aren't smart.. For now I suggest you go to AT&T and get a Body Glove case, soon enough more and more cases will be released and you will have a wide variety to choose from. And who knows, you may love the body glove case like I did! :)

I agree, the body glove is a lifesaver for me. I dropped my phone TWICE from about 4 feet onto solid concrete with this case on and it didn't get so much as a scratch! I almost guarantee without the slight lip that keeps the screen off the ground and the durable silicone-like material to absorb the shock, my screen would have cracked (BOTH times lol). It also has a smooth-grip on the back that allows you have a good grip on the phone without having to struggle to get it out of your jeans pocket (like conventional silicone cases). BTW mine was $24.99 from my local AT&T store.

I think the body glove case is very decent, and it's easy to purchase at you local AT&T store.

I use the clear case at AT&T [INCIPIO] but it's a real bitch to take off. Great protection though.

I am the absolute worst at dropping cell phones. The Body Glove has already saved my Captivate from certain damage several times. It looks nice and gives a solid grip when holding. It's $24.95 at At&t stores. You probably will need to call several to find one.

does anyone know of a case that you can wear on your hip that the phone snaps into? I hate having items in my pockets.

cheap silicon cases

Silicone. ;)

Anyway, I've looked at a lot of cases and agree that the Body Glove case is currently the best one out there for a combination of protection and looks. It's soft, but not so soft (like silicone) that it's a dirt/dust magnet. But it's not so hard that it doesn't offer impact protection. Meanwhile, it looks sexy.

So I have 2 cases made by Amzer.com: the silcone one and the argyle one. (pics from website of both below). On my old BB I had a silicone case and I really liked it b/c it was super thin and would stick to surfaces. Now I know lots don't like this about silicone, but I find it convient for not sliding around on my car dash. Anyway, this Amzer def adds some bulk and isn't as sticky as other silicone ones. So some people might like this. Now the argyle one in my opinion is great! Sounds similar to the Body Glove one as it's not as flexible as silicone, but still seems to add good protection, much thinner than the silicone one and still a little sticky. Also, don't judge it from the pic on the website b/c it looks better in person. I got the smoke grey one (pic below) and the argyle really isn't as prominent looking as the site makes it out to be. My girlfirend got the blue argyle and it looks better than the site as well. Also, the prices for both are great and shipping is fast. (9.95 for either case; took about 3 days to get) And I googled promo codes and found a free shipping one for if you spend over $30. Worked for me as I got 4 cases: 2 for me and 2 for my girl. Definitely recommend either case, higher recommendation for the argyle.

I got a belt clip case from the Samsung site. Looks good (for work) and holds to the belt securely. Not sure about drop protection, but the phone fits snugly enough so it doesn't flop around, yet comes out quick enough if necessary. Still not sure about the magnetic catch, but seems ok so far.

I bought a body glove for now but am holding out for an otterbox or some other case w/clip that will fit in my pocket. I prefer to keep my phone in my pocket but use the clip on it to hook to the outside of my pocket so that the phone doesn't slip to the bottom.

I sent an email to otterbox , they will have two models similar to their new iPhone 4 cases soon. A long time customer, based on past experience my guess is we should see them in two or three more weeks.

assuming this is true i am excited, i never really wanted one, but would be open to trying it out

i have the same Argyle cases that kmeyers02 is talking about. i love the TPU material they're made of, the perfect medium between a hard and a soft silicone case... feels sturdy on the phone, but still flexible.

Argyle is better...cheaper, better fit/finish in my opinion. Just more fingerprints...

20 bucks for a fake carbon fiber sticker?! It looks nice, but its not real CF....100 bones for this case for iPhone?! iPhone everything is so expensive...another reason I will never own another iPhone.

Took me three AT&T stores, but I found one that had the black body glove case.

I absolutely love this case, great protection and feels very solid on the phone.
