Why would you buy it from Glove when you can get it cheaper from Google?

That's "Clove", and I was simply illustrating how heavily the N5 is subsidised by Google; the "true" price must be what Clove et al are asking. Which makes it an even better buy for

Only thing is I've just found out that there's no 32GB version (yet?) although there is OTG support...

I've read somewhere that they might showcase Moto Maker at MWC, and that it'll be coming to THE UK!! AAARRGGGHH

In which case I'm even more tempted to go for it, even though 'the obvious choice' is the N5

I've ordered one, but I've just learned that Moto Maker is actually coming here!
I'm contemplating selling the N5 (might make

Moto Maker isn't the only feature I like about the X, but I do like the idea of being able to customise my phone. Yeah, a case would almost do the trick, but it's not really the same thing.

From what I've been reading, it seems like performance (but maybe not so much in gaming) is pretty much equal between the two.

Umm, no the performance difference is quite big.

This is an old preview on Snapdragon 800, it should give you some idea of the difference.

All I'm seeing is a load of benchmarks and we all know they mean little in terms of day to day performance.

I'm also not seeing the Moto X listed at all so you can't compare.

Not everyone cares about having the best SoC or screen, they just want a phone that works for them. I'm pretty sure Mehta has done his research and falls in to that category.

Benchmarks only mean little to those who don't understand what they're looking at, it's up-to the user if they want to spend the time doing a little bit of research or not, i'm not forcing anyone to read my posts or links I've provided.

But yes you can compare them, similar hardware on the list would be anything using Snapdragon S4 Pro/600, so Nexus 4, HTC One or even the Galaxy S4.

Of course in the CPU benchmarks you have to bare in mind the Moto X is only dual core, so in multithreaded CPU benchmarks it will effect the results.

But isn't the whole point of the Moto X8 chipset the optimisation with Android? Otherwise it should perform worse than a Nexus 4, but actually matches the 5, and even beats it in some benchmarks!

I really just want the best overall phone for the money. I kinda keep forgetting that the Moto X is a fair bit more brand new (unless I go used) and even then, development is obviously going to be much better on the 5.

But then again, the Moto X kind makes up for that which is features, that also seem to be continuously getting updates too

So I'm as confused as I've ever been

I think that I've decided to stick with the N5. I'll probably always suffer from that Moto X envy (even more so when Moto Maker arrives, and when the X2 comes) but I've had no interest in the n5 I've bought and I don't want to make a loss on that, especially when the Moto X is
