Any thoughts about the new

HTC One M7 802w Dual Sim Full Active UltraPixel Android 4.1 Quad Core 1.7GHz 4.7 inch HD DSFA NFC ??
Anyone already has it?

Cost me around $750. But it is a top of the line phone.

Thanks for your reply. It cost me only 380 dollars for my zopo ZP950H with one extra battery and leather case. It is dual-sim and 5.7 inches which exactly I wanted. It's a phablet and a phone... The build quality is very good and I am using it for more than 2 months now without any problems...

Yes! My search for a dual-sim android phone is now over! This is by far the best phone I have ever had. Dual-sim, dual-active as well!

You do realize that this phone for almost USD 800 has no 4G.
It still uses 3G. So how old is 3G....according to Wiki

The first pre-commercial 3G network was launched by NTT DoCoMo in Japan in 1998,[10] branded as FOMA. It was first available in May 2001 as a pre-release (test) of W-CDMA technology. The first commercial launch of 3G
was also by NTT DoCoMo in Japan on 1 October 2001, although it was initially somewhat limited in scope;[12][13] broader availability of the system was delayed by apparent concerns over its reliability.

Ya it has WCDMA which is technically 3G but a lot of networks advertise it as 3.75 or even 4G.

Anyhow "real" 4G/LTE is not available in my country and won't be for a long time so I am not concerned.

my latest dual sim is the Samsung Galaxy Grand. Having used many dual sim phone in the past I definitely put this one at the top of the list. The price is reasonable, decent speed, the dual sim feature is very very good, good screen size..the screen resolution is not as high, but really, it's not that bad..bear in mind the lower resolution and ppi also means the GPU/CPU dont need to work so hard to power the display, and the battery life is very very good as result.

Having said all these, I think we might have an ultimate dual-sim android phone around the corner:

Google Moto X Dual Sim! If this is true, it will probably be the best dual sim android phone ever, Motorola hardware + Dual Sim + Nexus software...

Don't look much further than the samsung galaxy grand duos. Size of an s3 lower spec, but very good phone. Can't complain, and I've moved from a htc one and S3 to combine my sims. You don't really miss a thing.

I have samsung galaxy S3 duos (SCH I939D) , It is not launched in India. samsung has made it for China & Russia. Mine is fron China. The problen with the phone is that PLAY STORE is not running and phone is not receiving 3G network. And even there is not any option to change network mode to WCDMA. Can rooting or flashing solve my problem ?

And also somethings are in chinese language which cant be removed or deleted by me. As there are not any option to delete those chinese things. Can I delete them also. The OS of my mobile can be changed to English version ?

kindly reply soon

Hello and ni hao Manu welcome to Android Forums. :)

I'm almost certain you've got a version of the S3 that was really meant for use on China Telecom's CDMA2000/EV-DO network, and the other SIM in this phone is GSM/EDGE only, for making calls on China Mobile or China Unicom or when not in China. That's why you can't find any options for WCDMA, because it hasn't got it.

EDIT:

The SCH I939D is definitely a China Telecom specific CDMA/EV-DO with GSM/EDGE phone. That's why it won't work for WCDMA 3G. There's nothing you can do about it I'm afraid, and rooting or flashing will NOT solve it.

I assume you don't have CDMA/EV-DO networks in India, because those are mainly in China, USA and Canada.

As for removing the Chinese bloatware, you can do that by rooting it. And the same thing for installing Google Play. Google Play won't work unless it's installed correctly and the phone is rooted. The phone should work in English for most things by going into the language settings, however it only supports Chinese and English, no Hindi, etc.

The best so far out of all I ve used is the HTC One Dual Sim version. Basically all the benefit of the normal HTC one + Dual Sim + external SD. There are a couple of custom/ Russia based stock rom floating around so Google Apps is not a real issue like other china only version.

There is another strong contender on the horizon which is the Oppo R819. Oppo makes really solid phone and directly distribute globally. Oppo will also offer choices of 3 versions of ROM include the stock android which is quite an interesting approach. This one seems tick a lot of boxes and currently is in ore order stage. I would have preferred a black 32GB version but its still worth considering.

Really outdated and too EXPENSIVE...

Don't think it's particularly outdated, looks typical of a current mid-range Chinese phone or mid-range Samsung. The specs look somewhat poor compared to say a Samsung S4. Looks like the idea is here, it's produced ethically, basically it's a fair trade product, e.g. no child slave labour sweatshops. Fair trade products tend to be comparatively expensive anyway. It's made in China, but presumably the people making it are being paid a satisfactory wage. Don't think it's supplied by any carriers, which means the price is not subsidised in any way and nor will there be any carrier bloatware on it, like NASCAR or NFL junk.

Something else, they specifically mention it's "fully rootable". That's unusual for a manufacturer to do that. So evidently they don't mind you hacking and customising it, i.e. does NOT void the warranty.
