Best hardware currently available

So i busted the charging port on my xperia today


I need to go buy a new phone immediately for work. I need to know which handset is currently regarded as the fastest and best out there.

My only stipulation is accurate GPS . MY x10 is WAY better with gps than my girlfriends htc desire hd.
 
The GPS on the Desire HD is widely regarded as being terrible. There are ways to improve it though.

The fastest and best out there would either be the HTC Sensation or the Samsung Galaxy S2. Can't comment on the GPS on either though.
 
What carrier do you use? Always look for the carrier / coverage first, and then look for the best phone on the carrier, or compatible with the carrier.
 
samsung galaxy s2 isnt out yet is it? The unfortunate thing is that i need a new phone by ...well tomorrow morning at 9am, i rely on smartphones, part of being in telecom
 
Well i'm on fido, in canada. Whatever android i buy will be getting unlocked, if not already unlocked from factory. Fido only carries 1 shitty android phone

Samsung Nexus S
HTC Incredible S
HTC Sensation

Although, it looks like im shit outta luck for getting a sensation in Canada, will a US phone work, unlocked, on a canadian network? if so, ill drive down to seattle and grab one today
 
The HTC Evo3D & the HTC Sensation are the only phones out right now with 1.2ghz Dual Core Processors and also include 1GB of RAM (768mb on the Sensation) in the USA market right now. Available currently at any Sprint or T-Mobile store. Just saying.... might be a good option. I love my Evo3D. =)

Edit: I almost got a Nexus S. Vanilla Android is so fast...

doesent look like the Evo3d OR the Sensation are out in canada. if i buy one in the US, will it work if unlocked in canada?
 
Any unlocked GSM phone will work. If you can get an unlocked Galaxy S2 or Sensation, those would be the best available. If you can't get one of those, the Atrix is probably your next best bet.
 
When is the Samsung Galaxy S2 coming out in Canada?

Expensive but worth every damn buck.

Personally, this is the best damn Android I've seen out of the box.

Hey Luke, what phone did you get? If you got a USA phone, you need to get it from AT&T as their frequencies are 100% compatible with Robelus and the smaller carriers they own.

If I were you, I'd go with the Nexus S. If you're buying it off contract, you can show around to get the best price. I saw some going for as low as $450.
